About Me

Author photo

I tell stories:

Stories of home, of Iran. Of its today and its past, of its forgotten Gods and Goddesses

Stories of stars of galaxies, which I studied.

Stories of immigration and journeys shaped me and my understanding of humanity.

I am a tree: roots in Iran, trunk in Dublin, and buds sprouting in Germany, basking in the sunshine of Japan.

My Interests

Astrophysics

After completing my B.Sc. in Physics and M.Sc. in Astronomy in Iran, in 2008, I received a Ph.D. scholarship from the Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies in Ireland.

My research focused on studying black holes in the Andromeda Galaxy, using space telescopes’ data,

I graduated in 2013 and left Dublin–but my heart never did!

Iranian Mythology

Iranian paganism, far older than Zoroastrianism, fascinates me.

The lost stories of gods and goddesses once worshiped in Iran!

Yet their traces can still be found in our traditions and classical literature. It is precisely this enigma that mesmerizes me.

Travels & Cultures

When my family and I aren’t physically traveling, I travel through literature.

I watch documentaries, read nonfiction books about different cultures, explore their authors, and cook dishes from around the world.
